Until I can get my online store up and running on my website (I’ve had so many set backs it’s not even funny) I’ve reopened my Etsy store for a wee while. Not sure how long it will be for so I’m busy filling it with lots of new goodies. I have a few ACEO and keyrings for sale at the moment and I’ve just added this brand new whimsical tuxedo cat illustration to the mix.
It has been painted on a piece of old pine shelving that’s been collecting dust in my this-is-interesting-and-might-be-nice-to-paint-on box for a while. A few weeks ago I finally got around to painting something on it and decided on a seaside cat theme. I love how it’s turned out and I particularly love how, under certain light, you can see the contours and ridges of the wood grain under the paint. It’s not really visible in the photos which is a shame.
“A Day at the Beach” measures 19cm x 17cm and is approx 1.7cm deep. The sides have been painted black, I’ve added a hole to the back so that you can hang it on a nail or screw, and I’ve applied a few coats of a tough matt varnish to the front and sides to help protect against dust and minor knocks. Unfortunately I can only offer shipping to the UK for this one. Sorry guys!
I have another piece of pine in my box just waiting to be painted on, but first I have new paintings for Whitby Galleries to finish and some new OOAK hand-painted keyrings to complete and get ready for sale!
