New Collection of Cat Paintings at Whitby Galleries

Another Spring has finally arrived, albeit a chilly one so far, and a new collection of cat paintings has arrived at Whitby Galleries. I have to admit that I got a little carried away with painting black & white kitties this time. And, before I knew it I was over half way through the collection without a tabby in sight!

Despite this collection being mostly made of tuxes there is a nice even split between adventurous outdoorsy kitties and lazy mischievous house cats. No particular theme to follow this month so I’ve stuck to my usual (and your) favourites of flowers, books, and sailors! There is only one sailor this month, but he does have the most adorable little stowaway in his hat as he enjoys a midnight boat ride.

It’s also been a while since I painted any white cats. They don’t seem as popular for some reason but it’s only fair to include one every now and then. So, this month I’ve included one enjoying a roll around in a flower bed. She might be squashing them but you can’t really be mad at that face, can you? I always have a favourite painting and this month it’s the plump tux who is refusing to come down from his perch in the blossoming tree. Going to be placing an order for postcards soon so I might have to add this one to the order.

I can’t quite believe I’m half way to hitting the 750 paintings milestone with Whitby Galleries! Hopefully I’ll reach that target before the year is out. I always think that I’m going to run out of ideas

Framed size measures 11.5 inches square and the paintings are around 5 inches square, thereabouts.
