New Cat and Beach Hut Painting just in time for Summer!
Those of you who follow me on Instagram and Facebook may have seen photos of my newest painting in varying degrees of completion over the past few weeks. With Summer almost upon us it seemed only fitting that I should paint a cat and beach hut painting for my newly opened Folksy store.
Previously, for my larger paintings on paper, I only sold the artwork itself. I like the idea of you being able to pop your newly bought piece of art straight in a frame so I’m going to be selling all of my larger paper based paintings already window mounted. You should be able to enjoy your art as soon as you receive it so all mounted artwork will be sized to fit frames you can find in most UK high street stores.
To mount my paintings I’m using a non-permanent method which involves photo corners. Normally you’d use photo corners in a photo album, one which just has pages instead of inserts, but they work just as well for mounting and framing. They’re rather handy because should you ever want to change the mount you can easily remove the painting without damaging it. Which brings me back to my new cat painting!
Beach Picnic features a tuxedo cat enjoying a day out at the beach. We enjoy trips to the beach, dogs enjoy walks on the beach, so why can’t cats have a picnic on the beach? The painting measures 6 x 4 inches and comes with an 8 x 6 inch ivory mount. More details over at my Folksy store.
There’s more art on the way. Have a great weekend!
