I can’t quite believe how fast this year as gone by! These past few months have definitely been the quickest as I’ve been busy painting new orders for Whitby Galleries on a fairly regular basis. Last month I painted something new to try alongside my cats. A set of paintings featuring hares, foxes, and other country creatures. This month I’ve been painting more as the first set have almost sold out.
For this order I decided to mostly stick to the same animals as the last. We don’t really have that many mammals to choose from in the UK countryside. So it’s hedgehogs, badgers, foxes, hares, and owl illustrations again but instead of a squirrel I’ve gone for a deer.
As you can see, the scarves are back but I’ve kept them to a bare minimum this time. The moon’s back though, yay! I love painting animals in nighttime scenes, especially snowy nighttime scenes.
Dogs have been a bit of a hit and miss in the past but we’re giving it another go this month with a black labrador. Fingers crossed that this cheeky ball-loving lab finds a new home!
WHERE AND WHEN CAN I BUY THESE?
My country creatures illustrations are available to buy from Whitby Galleries, located at 134-135 Church Street in Whitby. If you’re unable to visit in person orders can be taken by phone or email and home delivery can be arranged. As always, please contact the galleries directly with any enquiries about these paintings. Each one is fully framed and the artwork itself measures approximately 5″ x 5″. Price £55 each.
Psst! Apparently the deer with long-tailed tits has already been snapped up.
Only 3 more sleeps until Santa!
Merry Christmas everyone!
