Original Cat ACEO: Chloe on the Sideboard

I have another cat ACEO from the ever growing It’s A Cat’s Life series coming up for auction very soon. I love painting sleeping cats and as you can see below, my newest ACEO is just that!

This is Chloe. She’s a loving grey cat with tuxedo markings and loves to sleep on the sideboard in the hallway. “Chloe on the Sideboard” is painted in acrylics on 230gsm canvas textured paper.

I have lots of new artwork projects in the pipeline which involve paintings on pages from vintage books and possibly wallpaper. Not sure how the wallpaper idea will turn out but I’m excited to find out! I was going to start a few paintings on pages from books today but the book I was going to use is c. 1936 and in fairly good condition. I can’t bring myself to part with it so I’ll be scouring the markets for books which are a little bit more worse for wear.
