Illustration Friday: Octopus

I’ve been in need of some creative refreshment lately and I must admit, sometimes I find it hard to think of something to draw or paint other than cats. Hopefully that won’t be the case for much longer as I’ve decided to take part in Illustration Friday.

For those who don’t know, Illustration Friday is a weekly drawing challenge which posts a topic every Friday and then you have a week to illustrate that topic.

This week the chosen topic is Octopus and this rather dapper octopus illustration is going to be my entry. He’s a mixed media piece using fineliner, PITT® Brush Pens, watercolour pencil, and acrylic.

There aren’t any prizes for these challenges, it’s strictly for fun, but you do have a chance of appearing in their blog. Wish me luck!
