Important Information regarding my Etsy Store
After almost 10 years, it is with great sadness that I will no longer be using the Etsy platform to sell my art and handmade products. Due to recent changes within Etsy and their increasingly US-centric business model, it is no longer financially viable for me (as a small UK business) to continue selling on the Etsy platform. Therefore, my Etsy store will close on May 17th, 2017.
So what happens now?
Although the official close date for my Etsy store is May 17th, my Etsy listings will be deactivated and purchases will no longer be able to be made from my store as of the end of May 1st, 2017. This is to allow me sufficient time to process outstanding orders, provide after sale care as needed, and remove my inventory from the Etsy platform before the store close date.
Now for the good news!
I will not be disappearing completely and fans of my work will still be able to purchase my art and handmade items elsewhere.
As most of you will already know, I have regular ACEO art auctions on eBay. Those will be continuing as normal. My aim is to eventually open a store here on my website. This is something which has been in the works for many years now and will hopefully come to fruition soon.
In the meantime, I have opened a new store on Folksy in order to continue selling my art and handmade items. I will be slowly moving my inventory over from Etsy to Folky over the next few weeks.
Thank you all for you continued custom and I hope to see you all at my new home on Folksy!
UPDATE – May 2nd, 2017 – The products for sale in my Etsy store have now been removed from sale. You can no longer make purchases but you will still be able to access my store until May 17th. Everything is now in the process of being moved over to my Folksy store.
