A Feline Family Portrait at Whitby Galleries
Time for something a little bit different. Not different in the subject matter, because those furry felines just keep coming back, but different in size. As you all probably know, I love my small format paintings and illustrations. ACEO art cards, 6″ x 4″ (must do more of those), and the 5″ x 5″ I do Whitby Galleries.
A few weeks ago Whitby asked if I did larger paintings. Normally I don’t but it’s nice to have a change every now and then and I have painted a few large pieces as commissions. Anyway, I’ve just finished and sent my first 12″ x 12″ cat illustration off to the Galleries.
It’s taken a little longer than I would have liked to complete because March has been disruptive to say the least. First I put my back out, then I had to have one of degus put to sleep after she broke her leg, then I tweaked my neck and couldn’t move my head for 5 days, and finally another trip to the vets for a degu ear infection. Roll on April.
Anyway, my new whimsical cat illustration is called Family Portrait and will be available to buy from Whitby Galleries fully mounted and framed. The artwork measures 12″ x 12″ and was painted with acrylics on watercolour paper. Price is to be confirmed but I will let you know asap.
It normally takes a little while for new work to appear on the website but feel free to contact them with any enquiries in the meantime.
