What are they Teaching Kids these Days?
I’ve been up since 6:55am. I’m waiting for Guitar Hero World Tour for PS3 to finally arrive at my door after 2 long weeks of waiting so I’ve been up early. Used the time to paint another tartan cat and read my emails…. need all the time I can today to rock out!
Back to the point of this post. I have the TV on in the background while I paint and I usually have the children’s channel on. I find that it helps with the old humour! This week there’s been a quiz show on where the kids have to answer maths questions which have answers between 1 and 100. The whole point of the show is to get as close to 100 points as they can. If they get 100, they win a room full of prizes. Anyhoo, the kids are about 12 or 13 and some of the answers that have been coming out so far are quite frankly embarrassing.
Q: How many days in total are there in November and December?
A: 15
Q: Postman Pat has 73 parcels in his van. Add 73 to the number of legs on Jess the cat.
A: 265
Q: Add together the number of people in the following bands: Coldplay, White Stripes and Keane
A: 28
Q: How many fingers and thumbs to the children in The Famous Five have altogether?
A: 25
That last one is hilarious. That means there are either 5 children with only one hand each, or 3 children and 1 of them has 1 hand! I can only wonder how embarrassed their parents must feel!
