It’s the beginning of a new month and the beginning of a new year so today is as good a day as any to unveil my secret project! I’ve been teasing you for a few weeks now with it, and you may have noticed a little clue in the big green banner at the top of the home page. Ickle Critters have arrived and are looking for loving and caring people to adopt them into their families.

I joined MySpace awhile ago and to be honest, I couldn’t quite get to grips with it after being used to the Facebook interface. My profile had been left untouched for the best part of a year but I ventured back the other day and discovered something amazing! A new interface! It’s not great, but it’s 1000 times better than it was so I’ve updated my profile there, added a few modules and widgets like Etsy and Zazzle, and picked a theme.

It’s going to be quiet around here, Ebay and Etsy for about 5 or 6 days. I have another set of 10 paintings to do for Whitby Galleries which is fantastic and much needed this month! I do have a couple of 4 x 4 paintings already done which I can list in the meantime. [...]

As of today (5 November 2008) I am officially a member of Etsy.com. Etsy is an online marketplace specialising in buying & selling all things handmade. It’s a bit like Ebay except it’s a lot cheaper to list, it has longer listings, and only sells handmade products like art, jewellery, decoupage etc making the perfect place for arts and craft collectors and creators alike.

I’m not sure how unique this idea is….. someone somewhere has bound to have thought of it also…… but I thought it would be a great idea to make a set of greeting cards over at my Zazzle store which have my ACEOs on the front in ‘actual size’.

For the past couple of weeks now I’ve been working on what will be my very own online store. I’m hoping that it will be ready for launch by the end of this month.

Good News! In the next few days, Lisa Marie Art and Illustration will be moving from it’s current sub-domain to a domain of it’s very own!
