Ribbit! Tuxedo Cat and Frog ACEO Auction
Frogs. I had a bizarre dream about them on Sunday night. Thousands of them were covering the streets like a green slimy carpet. It’s not the first weird dream I’ve had, and it won’t be the last that’s for sure, but at least it inspired me to paint my newest mini painting. A tuxedo cat and frog ACEO.
In my newest ACEO, a curious tuxedo cat sneaks up on a cute orange-eyed frog but in true cat fashion he just can’t resist having a little prod first. I’ve experimented a bit with this one and brought my two styles of painting together.
My other style of painting has a more realistic feel. It’s not ‘photo’ realistic but I do stay more true to the natural forms and shapes. Normally I try to give a whimsical feel to other creatures that might appear with my cats but this time I didn’t to see what happened and I think it works well.
